We understand that the price tag associated with veterinary care is one of the most stressful factors affecting pet families. When your pet is sick, the last thing you want to think about is how much money it is going to cost to help them feel better. For this reason, we want to be as transparent as possible when it comes to our fees.

TIERED PRICING
In an effort to make veterinary care more accessible, we are implementing two pricing tiers: Purple (standard) and Green (lower cost).
FEES
All our fees are based on three factors: (1) the actual cost to us to perform the services in our clinic; (2) our commitment to paying everyone on our team fairly; (3) the recommended fee guide set out by our provincial regulatory body.
PAYMENT PLANS
We offer third-party payment plans and will also be trialing in-house payment plans for our Fireweed Community Members, at the discretion of our leadership team. Please speak with one of our team members for more information.
Tiered Pricing
We are very happy to be able to offer a unique tiered pricing model. In an effort to make veterinary care more accessible, we are implementing two pricing tiers: Purple (standard) and Green (lower cost).
Purple Clients
As a Purple Client, profits from your visit support our ability to offer our tiered pricing model. By simply bringing your pet to see us and giving them the care that they need, you are giving back to your community and making the lives of so many pets and people better. Your actions are directly helping us to reduce barriers to accessing veterinary care and ultimately supporting the human-animal bond that we all cherish. Our green tier pricing model would not be possible without our committed and caring Purple Clients. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
Green Clients
To become a Green Client, you must provide documents that prove your eligibility. Once you are a Green Client, we can provide green tier pricing to all of your pets, as long as an enrolment fee for each pet is paid. Eligibility is re-assessed every 12 months.
- There are requirements to become and remain a Green Client. Those requirements are:
- All Green Clients must be Fireweed Community Members, meaning:
- The client must attend an onboarding visit
- Yearly preventative care is a requirement for all pets and all pets must be up to date on their yearly wellness exams
- Yearly household income < $40,000
- All documents to show eligibility must be provided before the first vet appointment or at the time of the onboarding visit
- An enrolment fee is required of $200 (pricing may change) per pet, per year. This fee is non-refundable and will be charged upon enrolment. Payment plans may be arranged for this fee but it must be paid in full prior to the first appointment. This fee covers the cost of:
- The administrative time by staff to complete your income assessment
- One wellness exam (to be done within the next 12 months)
- All recommended vaccines for the next 12 months (for the pet that is enrolled)
- All Green Clients must be Fireweed Community Members, meaning:

Payment Plans
Having a pet can bring unexpected financial challenges to pet families. Emergency or urgent care as well as involved surgeries tend to be the most challenging financial burdens. We understand that in many cases, pet families may not be able to pay a large bill on the same day and that spreading payments out may make things more manageable.

In-House Payment Plans
- Only offered for invoices or estimates over $2,000
- Weekly payments are required
- 2 types of plans offered: pre-payment and post-payment plans
Pre-Payment Plans
- Payments can be made towards an upcoming procedure
- Credit will be saved on that pet’s file in anticipation of the procedure
- This credit is non-refundable but can be transferred to other in-clinic care or to another pet in the same family
- There will be a 10% discount applied to all procedures for which the client enters in a pre-payment plan (this discount will be void if the credit is transferred)
